BREATHE CAROLINA

Breathe Carolina is an electro-pop band from Denver, Colorado. The group's blend of synth-based beats and melodic screaming, first appeared on the public radar in 2007. The band members are Kyle Even and David Schmitt. Eric Armenta (lights), Joshua Andrew (keytar), and Luis Bonet (synth) play with them occasionally. Kyle Even was born on September 21, 1985, in Littleton, Colorado. Dave Schmitt was born on March 25, 1988. Kyle played in a band called Rivendale, while in high school. Dave played in a band called As the Flood Water Rose. Both bands played together many times. As the Flood Water Rose opened for Rivendale at their CD release. The bands members went their separate ways. Most headed for college. In 2007, Kyle and David started the band Breathe Carolina, recording songs with their friend, Keegan Cuellar, on GarageBand.

JONAH C. GEIDEMAN : BLOGGERBALL SPORTS

Jonah Carroll Geideman is a new, up and coming rookie sports writer, who puts it out there. His articles are not only serious and informative, but have a slight comical twist. His web page is called " Bloggerball Sports" and he covers many sporting events including professional, high school, women and men. He writes from his home and balances his hobby well along with his daily life. I know this well, as I am not only his biggest fan, but I am his wife.

Jonah came into this world on April 16, 1973. He was born in Sonoma, California. When he was 3 years old, they moved to Cleveland, Ohio to be nearer his mothers family. By the time he reached almost 5 years, they had moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended kindergarten though 3rd grade in public school. Jonah attended the SCPA(School for Creative and Preforming Arts), located on Sycamore Street in Cincinnati. He was there from 4th through 6th grade. He took courses in art, writing, drama, and music. Jonah then went to Aikens High School, which is the largest school campus in Ohio. His graduating class was in 1992.

Sometime in 1996, Jonah started a record label called "Hollow Point Records". The name was chosen as a dedication to his favorite recording artist, John Lennon, who was shot and killed with a hollow point bullet. Jonah is a big fan of hip hop and he fancied being an emcee and writing lyrics. He has a gift for rap and can flow when a nice beat is available. In 2001, he and his fellow rappers put out a CD titled " Wars with Bubble Coats" and in 2002, another CD called " Hollow Point All Up in Your Beats". Both were available in stores and via the internet.

In 2002, Jonah left Cincinnati for personal reasons. He traveled North to Port Clinton for a few months then he settled in Cleveland. In 2003, he met me and we were married in 2004.
He has always had a heart for sports and cat-fishing, which he is very good at. He attended many Cincinnati Reds games,Indians games here, Cavalier games, and has attended the Browns Camp in Berea to watch practices and is a die hard Browns fan. His second team is the Bengals and his baseball teams are the NY Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds. He is a pure Celtics backer. When asked what his secret is to writing a consistently entertaining, educational, and informative page, Jonah replied, " It's no secret...If you call now it's available for you at the low price of $39.99...just kidding." His love for sports and his knack for the stats and following the players, makes this rookie sports writer one to watch.

THE INTERVIEW

1) Where did your interests lie before you started writing your sports blog?
*Hip Hop Emcee

2) When did you develop your love for sports?
*As a kid, that's all "we" did, meaning the neighborhood youth.Everything was
sports, trading cards, wiffle ball in the streets, wrestling, and flag football
no matter what the weather...rain, sleet, snow.

3) What made you decide to go into sports writing?
*My passion to have my sport views shared. When I drank, I shared my views at
bars. Now that I don't drink, I share my views through my writing.

4) On the average, how much time do you invest into your research and writing?
*24-7...text = PC = ESPN =the paper =people in the public. All day, everyday.

5) Have you ever experienced writers block?
*I don't know how to answer this question...I must have answer block.

6) Have you ever received flak from anyone you have written about? If so why?
*Not yet...however there was an incident with a picture but I corrected it. It
wasn't a big deal.

7) Who are the most interesting people/sports that you write about?
*Pat Venditte the switch pitcher who throws L/R and Eri Yoshida, the crazy knuckle-
ball pitcher drafted by the pros and the LFL, it's fresh, interesting and real.

8) Why did you choose this particular person?
*Switch pitching is like finding a $100 bill...it happens, but not that often. The
Oriental female Knuckle ball queen...come on. She just turned 18 and already has
played 2 years pro and now an American pro. How awesome!

9) Do you have a dream interview?
*Rondo from the Celtics. There's so much we don't know about him. I know he roller-
skates...but no, he's a mysterious leader.

10) In your opinion, name the most common misconceptions fans have about sports
figures/teams.
*This is easy. Most fans don't realize that a pro sport team is before anything
else, it is "a business". And I feel the suits should have trading cards, too.

11) Who stands out in your mind as an athlete who will never be replaced, who was
superior at what they did & who made the biggest impact on sports.
*Pete Rose, definitely. He was the greatest hitter ever. A bet banned Pete for
life. Sad. He never killed anyone, you know what I'm saying? OJ? Come on.

12) Which teams, in your opinion, are the best and worse?
*NBA = The Nets but watch out with the hiring of the new Russian owner.
NFL = The Browns but I got to give Holmgren a shot.
MLB = Idiots of Cleveland = Fire Wedge? He beat Torre's Yanks in the play-offs
so you fire him?

13) If you could pick any player in the NBA, NFL, or any other sport, who impressed
you most?
*Josh Cribbs = He has poise on and off the field...a class "A" act.
Mardy Gilyard = He has determination, hard work ethics and total heart for what
he does.
You know Ainge did a great thing here...The future of the Celtics team
is with Rondo. No better choice...Cleveland keep your "king"...We have our
own with RINGS.
Prince Fielder = You could build a franchise around him. He's very knowledgeable.

14) If it were your time to write one final article, what or who would it be and why?
Shawn Kemp. In the time when Jordan was everyone's idol, I was into my own with
Kemp. THE REIGN MAN. Then George Carl broke up the Sonics which sent my man,
Kemp, to Cleveland. Flat-line. Kemp's NBA career died...why Kemp why?
